The Board of Trustees meets with the Library Director the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 5:00 PM in the Library Conference Room. These meetings are open to the public. Minutes may be accessed at Charlestown-nh.gov. The public may participate in the public comment portion; however, public comments are limited to 3 minutes per person.
How it all works
NH RSA 202-A:2 Trustees are defined as "the governing body of the library." Trustees are vested with the entire custody and management of the library. They hire the library director, adopt policies to govern the library's operation, and advocate for adequate financial support of the library. Trustees have the power to expend all funds provided to the library, and to determine how they will be spent.
