Library Collections
The Silsby Free Public Library is home to over 20,000 circulating items. This includes large print, biographies, fiction and non-fiction materials, as well as magazines. Plus, we have a large collection of puzzles and board games. The library also offers items such as adult and child snowshoes, adventure backpack kits, and a NEW seed library with garden tools, all free to check out with your library card!

This pass allows free general admission to the farm and museum for up to 4 people per visit, ages 3 and up.
The pass must be picked up at the library.

The Fort at No. 4
Charlestown, NH
Admission for One Group:
(2 adults with up to 4 accompanying minor children and/or grandchildren) per day.
This excludes special fee-based, after-hours, fundraising, and off-season events.

John Hay Estate at the Fells
Newbury, NH
This single-day pass admits up to 2 adults and accompanying children under age 18.
Not valid for programs or events for which an additional fee applies, such as Fairy Festival, Hay Day, or Christmas at The Fells.
Pass must be signed and dated by library staff.
Montshire Museum of Science
Norwich, VT
This pass must be picked up at the library.
Admits: 1 child & 1 adult.
One ticket per family.
NH State Parks
State park passes allow free admission for two adults and four children. This pass is not accepted at Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, the Flume Gorge, Hampton Beach State Park-South Beach, Wallis Sands or for metered parking. The pass may not be used for camping fees. **Please contact park to be certain of open hours or special events that may be occurring.**

Books
Browse our collection of over 20,000 physical items. Including fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi, mystery, biographies, large print, and more! Plus, we added a collection of spicy books for our monthly book club.
We also have access to many eBooks, and we offer free Kanopy and Libby accounts for library card holders.
Our children's collection includes baby board books, picture books, and tactile books. We have several Discovery Kits and a new Things that Go bag. Our teens have fiction, graphic novels, and non-fiction materials.

Teen Space
In 2024, thanks to a generous donation from the family of Phil Prouty, the Silsby Free Public Library's Teen Space was created. Featuring a cozy couch, floor cushions, a desk, and craft supplies, the Teen Space has become a favorite hangout for tweens and teens after school and during the summer.
Children's Room
Dedicated to Florence Bingham
A special place created just for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers, the Children's Room is always buzzing with fun! From Mommy & Me Lap Time to Toddler Time and Story Hour, there's always something to keep the littlest library patrons busy.
The thoughtfully curated collection of books encourages early childhood literacy and age-appropriate activities keep little minds engaged and curious.
Seeds & Garden Tools
Find everything you need for the garden at the library! Pick up seed packets, borrow tools, and check out gardening books. Thanks to a generous gift from the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension/COLSA. Free with your library card.
